What is Your Perception of the Minister?

Ordinary?

You Serve Where?

That's More Like it!

"You are not an ordinary preacher!"... "You are not a normal preacher!"... "You don't look like a preacher!"... Ask yourself, "How do I think a man of God should dress?" "How should he wear his hair?" "Beard?" "Goatee?" "Shoes?" "Jewelry?" ect...

Tradition and conditioning have influenced us to think and expect ALL men of God to wear the uniform. For some the expected uniform will be black slacks, black shirt, with white collar. For others, it will be slacks, collared shirt, and maybe a jacket depending on the occasion. Whether we like it or not, we have an expectation that anyone who claims to serve God is expected to dress and be groomed a certain way. It is an ideal. It is ironic that we will say it does not matter how one dresses, but somehow the manner of dress influences our sight and hearing when they are proclaiming the mighty works of God.

The MOST CRUCIAL ELEMENT above all else is that the man of God follow God's Holy Will. It is NOT how he dresses. God says His man will -pronounce blessings (Deut 33:1), look like an angel (Jud 13:6), teach (Jud 13:8), be highly respected (1 Sam 9:6), and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness (1 Tim 6:11). None of theses qualities have anything to do with clothing.

ABUNDANCE

"As a believer, should I expect to receive God's abundance or not?"

Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. ~Matt 13:12

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others ~2 Corinthians 9:8

The only way you can experience abundant life is to surrender your plans to Him ~CS

Don't miss out on God's abundance: everyday is a beautifully wrapped Gift from God. Unwrap it, use it, and give thanks to the Giver...
